Asbestech Limited, the Acton based leader in asbestos and hazard remediation, has successfully bid for and won the prestigious Barclays plc asbestos abatement works term contract. The term contract was awarded by Atkins Global Asset Management after a comprehensive tender process that was put together by BES Consulting Ltd in conjunction with Faithful & Gold, Atkins and Barclays themselves.
Daniel Chalkley, Managing Director of the company, said, “I am very pleased to have won this contract against some very stiff competition. Our bid team put a great package together for Barclays and backed it up with an excellent presentation. I know my Contracts Team are more than capable of delivering the goods, so I look forward to a long and productive relationship.”
The asbestos abatement works, which started in June, are looked after by a dedicated Contracts Manager, Jamie Appleton. “We have to be at our best to meet the performance criteria stipulated in the contract,” he said this week, “but we are enjoying the challenge and are currently over performing against the requirements - a trend which we expect to continue."
