Huge congratulations to our Regional Director, Dean Howe and his wife Jayne who ran the London Marathon last Sunday, running to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales. Their commitment and stamina throughout their training and during this amazing event not only exemplify personal dedication but also underscores their support for a great cause aimed at empowering young people. Through their efforts, they helped spotlight the valuable work of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales, which provides opportunities, support and positive experiences for young people in communities across Wales.
Grant Poiner, CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales said:
“Jayne and Dean’s achievement is nothing short of incredible. To take on a challenge like the London Marathon is a huge accomplishment in itself, but to do so in support of young people across Wales makes it even more meaningful. The money they have raised will directly support young people who attend our youth clubs, helping us continue to provide safe spaces, opportunities and life-changing experiences. We are extremely grateful for their dedication and support.“
We are hugely proud of both Dean and Jayne, and we know they now have the bug and have already entered the ballot to run the Marathon again in 2027.
